Having a close friend (or a few!) is an important element to feeling good about yourself and who you are. We all need a good friend in life! In childhood and adolescence, it’s oftentimes challenging to navigate the tricky dynamics of making a friend and keeping a friend.
Over the years, I’ve seen many children and adults in therapy who have a difficult time knowing how to stay connected in a healthy way to friends. I’ve researched and thought a lot about what helps people not only get to know each other and become friends, but stay friends. Out of this, the Friendship Group was born!
This highly engaging, activity and crafts based group will keep your daughter involved and having fun, all while learning about various aspects of friendship!
YOUR CHILD WILL LEARN:
- How to Choose Friends
- 5 Qualities of a Good Friend
- How to Actively Listen
- How to Repair Hurt in a Friendship
I hope your daughter will join me and the other group members over 4 weeks as we have fun together and grow interpersonally!
Space is limited! Register your child now before it fills up!
To join the group, please fill out the form below, making sure to indicate if your daughter will be in the group for girls ages 8-10 OR 11-12 years old.
The Group for 8-10 Year Olds Is: Saturdays Sept 9, 16, 23, and 30th from 11:30-12:45pm
The Group for 11-12 Year Olds Is: Mondays Sept 11, 18, 25th, and Oct 2nd from 3:30-4:45pm
