Fees & Investment for Therapy & FAQ

As a firm believer in the transformational power of therapy and a client myself, I know first hand the level of investment needed to find healing and wholeness through therapy.

It requires resources on many levels - emotionally, mentally, financially and even physically (ie. if you have chronic health issues or you’re driving to a session).

Because I believe in therapy being sacred and the therapeutic relationship being of utmost importance, I offer a free 20 minute consultation. That way it takes the pressure off and you can see if we’re a good fit before you invest your precious resources.

Weekly & Biweekly Therapy Session Investment:

The fee for the initial assessment is $395.00 USD. The length of time for this session is 60-75 minutes.

The fee for subsequent 55 minute sessions is $325.00 USD.

Intensive EMDR Therapy Investment:

Intensives are longer blocks of time that allow for deeper healing of a particular topic.

I offer 1 or 2 day intensives in 3 hour time blocks. If you’re interested in an Intensive, you can find more information here!

I’d love to meet you on a free 20 minute consultation and see how I can help you find healing and help.

  • Therapy through in-network insurance is inherently a one size fits all model with a lot of restrictions, paperwork, and rules. I believe that therapy should be tailor fit to each client’s unique needs and the client and I should have the freedom to work together to make a plan for treatment and healing without the confines of a third party. When you go the insurance route, both the therapist and the client are bound to what the insurance company thinks is best. I do not believe it’s in the best interest of my clients for the insurance company to decide any details of the therapeutic process.

  • Although I am not an in-network provider with any insurance companies, if you have a PPO, I can help by submitting a claim as an out-of-network provider. I know that the last thing you want to deal with is a superbill, so I take care of the billing for you. To know if your health insurance plan has out-of-network benefits, you need to call them directly. I have also partnered with a company called Thrizer to make payment and out-of-network billing as seamless and easy as possible.

  • I like Thrizer’s explanation from their website: “Thrizer is meant to alleviate the financial burden of out-of-network therapy and make the complex world of insurance super simple. Thrizer works by acting as a payment method that links with your health insurance.” During our free 20 minute consult, I can explain how Thrizer works more in depth and answer any questions you might have.

  • Because of the highly specialized work that I do, I do not offer a sliding scale. However, I know that weekly care is a significant ongoing commitment, and my goal is to make the financial side of therapy as seamless as possible for you so I offer a couple of options:

    • Concierge Out-of-Network Billing: You shouldn't have to fight with your insurance company while doing deep healing work. As a courtesy, I can submit out-of-network claims directly on your behalf to help you utilize your out-of-network benefits without the hassle of managing superbills.

    • Thrizer: I partner with this concierge billing service that manages your out-of-network benefits. Instead of leaving you to manage confusing superbills and wait for reimbursement checks, Thrizer automatically submits claims on your behalf. Depending on your specific plan, Thrizer can offer you a way to simply pay your co-insurance upfront for each session, significantly lowering your weekly out-of-pocket cost.

You can instantly check your out-of-network benefits and see your estimated weekly cost by using my Thrizer Benefit Checker.

If my rate is still outside of your budget, please let me know—I completely understand and am always happy to provide referrals to trusted, lower-cost providers in our community.
