HEY THERE!
The back-to-school season is full of excitement, but it can also bring a wave of big emotions, new social pressures, and academic anxiety. For girls in the 8-to-10 age range, navigating shifting friendships, increased independence, and changing expectations can be overwhelming.
I know that as a parent, you want your daughter to walk into the classroom feeling secure, capable, and ready to handle a new school year.
The Back To School Self-Esteem Boost is an interactive, activity-based group designed to equip girls ages 8-10 years old with practical and helpful emotion regulation tools they need to thrive this upcoming school year.
What We Focus On
Through engaging activities, creative projects, and guided discussions in a safe, welcoming environment, the group focuses on three core areas:
ONE
Developing Coping Skills
Big transitions bring big feelings.
The girls will learn practical, age-appropriate strategies to regulate their emotions and calm their nervous systems when school or social stress feels like too much.
Plus snack!
TWO
Building Healthy Friendships
We explore what it means to be a good friend, how to navigate the changing dynamics of elementary-school cliques, and how to set healthy boundaries with peers.
THREE
Boosting Self-Esteem
We focus on internal validation.
Through strengths-based activities, your daughter will practice positive self-talk, celebrate her unique qualities, and focus on building a quiet, resilient confidence that doesn't depend on peer approval.

Set Her Up for a Great School Year!
This isn't a lecture-style class. It is a dynamic, hands-on experience where girls learn through doing.
This group will help to give your daughter the tools she needs to step into the new school year with confidence, resilience, and the know-how to develop friendships.
Space is intentionally limited to keep the group small and highly supportive.
Important Note: I am a psychotherapist specializing in women and girls with anxiety, but this group is not therapy. It’s “therapeutic” - meaning it’s designed to be emotionally safe, encouraging, and teaches healthy coping skills, but it’s not group therapy. It is educational, not process-focused. A client-therapist relationship is NOT established upon registration or participation in this group.
What Past Participant’s Parents Say About This Group!

She gained coping skills and self-awareness, built confidence interacting with new peers, and developed a healthier, more positive self-image. I’m so grateful for the safe and supportive space this group provided - the girls group and Sarah have made such a difference in her life! - Julie J.
“My daughter participated in Sarah’s social group and had a great time! Sarah made the group a safe and fun place to gain new social skills and confidence.” ❤️ T. P.
